Wipers and heater fan connected?

Hi all,

Both the wipers and the heater fan on my 1987 Turbo have stopped working, are they connected to a similar control unit - because when I slammed the driver's door shut - they both worked for a second??

Fuses are good, ground leads to body seem okay, seems like a bad connection or dodgy relay/control unit to me....but where?

Any help would ne much appreciated - thanks.

no. probably loose connection somewhere. look for damage to fuse panel itself. check fusible links for sure. not visually take them out and use a vom on them

Thanks for that, the wipers started working again but the heater fan is still dead. I couldn't get any power at the fuse for the blower (on the fuse panel), what feeds that?

the blower on climate control ( you have if turbo)
the fan is inop on heat until the heater core gets to temp - then while your driving all of a sudden it blasts in your face - brilliant right ?
ecu for wipers too ,pretty sure it grounds it for the intermittent setting
