Why is it when I go in reverse sometimes it'll get stuck in 5th gear

I think you left out a few details... :006: because I find it physically impossible to be in two gears at the same time. If you put the transmission in reverse, it can't be in 5th gear... please enlighten us a bit more. Thx.

sounds like you will find out when you or others tear it down

the intermediate gear may have had the nut loosen or worn the shaft....is my guess. 5th has more moving parts
