Let's see if the consensus is with me. I have an 87 2+2 with 2 vibration problems.

#1 Engine vibrates at about 3500 rpm.
Motor mounts look okay and the motor stays put when you goose the throttle. I recently replaced the driveshaft with a custom built with replaceable u-joints. I'm reasonably sure the shaft is okay...but I have reservations. And I also had some clutch work done too.

#2 I also get a pronounced vibration when I'm driving on the highway and hit a shallow dip. It feels like the drivetrain.

I'm a putz when it comes to drivetrains but I'm thinking mounts...motor, tranny, or both?

What does a tranny mount feel like when it goes bad and is there any other way to check a motor mount?
