Tension Rod Assistance

I would like to know what my options are for the Z31 in terms of new bushings for the tension rods..

I need new bushings for my tension rods but i cannot find any bushings anywhere! the only ones are expensive stock ones from the dealership and its cheaper to just buy new tension rods....

Does anyone know of anywhere that sells aftermarket bushing such as Energy Suspension? I have called them and they only do 90-96 Z32, but anywhere else?

What have you guys used??

MSA had them when I did my z31's. get the kit do them all. plus tie rod ends, ball joints, steering ram boots and shocks. anytime you touch the front end you need to realign so do it all at once.

Would you happen to know a good reputable source to get the suspension kit? Would MSA be the best for buying a kit like this?

energy

Energy Suspension Parts: Nissan Cars

I got a kit for my 280zx, they have most everything you will need.

MSA get their stuff from energy suspension. I couldn't find a way to buy from them when I looked. seems like they work thru resellers like MSA

It pays to shop around...

The MSA and Energy Suspension urethane bushing kits are made by Prothane (Vehicle Applications | Prothane). You can buy the kits directly from Prothane. You also can find them offered by lots of vendors like Summit Racing and Jegs. I bought my Prothane kit from Amazon about a year ago. I've heard some third party vendors are not good about shipping the Prothane lubricant that is suppose to come with the bushing kits.

I would (and have in the past) pay the price for OEM Nissan tie rod ends and ball joints. Most aftermarket vendors predominantly carry Moog. The Moog parts simply look crude compared to a new OEM part. I only use Moog on a car I know I'm going to flip in short order.

Energy

Energy does include a little tube of Lube in every parts bag, they are not so clear on the website, but I can verify they are included, Ill post pics if anyone is interested.
