just yesterday i bought a 84300zx turbo and wa wondering..
the car has a blue and silver 2 tone paint scheme is this a 50ae car or
special edition i remember seing a thread about this but couldnt find it..
how do you tell if its ae or se? thx all

 

ae has ae emblems all over the place, most noticeably on the seats. ae has silver and black 2 tone paint with gold accents. ae has gold tinted t tops and gold accented wheels. ae has burl wood interior accents and the bodysonic system (seats that vibrate to the bass of the stereo). thats just a few of the things that the ae had that others did not. if your car doesnt have any of that stuff its just a regular turbo z31. the only other special edition z31 i can think of was the ss (shiro special), for nissans white (shiro) sale, but that was in '88.

 

there arnt any gold accents but the plates around the swithces on the door are wood colored and i dont knnow about the radion thing seeing how it doesnt work
but the seet electronically moves back and fourth lumbar adjustment so on an so fourth is that normal?

sorry for the question but i dont know much about the 84-86

AE's had 5 emblems. one on the front driver fender, one on each seat, one on each floor mat.
