Replacing "Stuff"

What are the options when replacing Electronically Adjusted Suspension on my '85zxT? The only options I know of are OEM, Tokico Illuminas,& KYB w/ their "kit".The first two are very expensive & I'm kinda wary of that kit for KYB.
Also mufflers:who can tell me the real difference between a welded stainless muffler & a crimped stainless muffler. And I'm wondering why I should pay $80 to $125. for a muffler when all I really want is a straight through pipe that "looks" like a muffler.Anyone answer these 3 little questions?

Re: Replacing "Stuff"

Well, I here NOPI has a semi-decent deal on Beilstien (not sure on the spelling) shocks for an 85 zxt. I think they are in the neighborhood of 75 $ a piece for heavy duties. As far as the muffler goes, to my understanding a welded muffler has the two halves actually welded at the seams instead of just crimped over. Supposed to last longer. Therefore, supposed to cost more(hearsay).
Hope this helps alittle.
oh, www.nopi.com

Re: Replacing "Stuff"

Thanks Ghostz.Every shock/strut ad I've looked at has a footnote saying "not for use w/ elec. adj. suspension".Except for the Tokico Illumina's,which are very expensive, & KYB w/ a kit that puts them in the same price range as Tokico. And as for the muffler,it's stainless steel. What's not to last?Maybe I'll just run w/o a muffler. The turbo & the cat might be enuf sound control. Thanks for the info
