Rb26dett swap in z31

So I have a z31 and it's in okay condition. I want to swap in a new engine and I've decided on the rb26dett. Is there anyone who has done this? Can someone give me an estimate on how much it may cost. I'm doing all the labor myself. The only problem is I have no idea what wiring harness I should use. would an rb25 trans work okay? I still want it to be rwd because I have money saved but not enough To go awd. I found an engine with an rb25 rwd trans and mines ecu for 6700. And also the oil pan will be about 400. What else needs to be done like fabrication and wiring wise. Please do not discourage me from this. I have made up my mind. If you don't like what I'm doing? Get a z31 and do it different. Thanks

Welcome to ZDriver!

I shall go easy on you... but please read / re-read my Welcome PM.
I take it you didn't know about the Z31 dubbed "200ZR" with an RB20DET? https://www.jdmlegends.com/?p=6477

As for an RB26 swapped Z31... a simple Google search returns a plethora of reading material: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=rb26+z31

As for the wiring harness... you use the one that comes with the engine. Unless you plan to run stand alone (from your first post, I'd say you're not at that stage yet).

Thank you! As for the tranny, would I only swap the bell housing? The whole tranny?

For RWD you use the RB25 transmission and oil pan.

Really tho... these are uber basic questions that have been asked and answered to death and back. We're here to help, but no need to re-hash things that have been clearly explained and documented.
