Production number of ZX Shiro special

I've been trying to find out the production number of my 1988 Nissan 300ZX Turbo Shiro Special. Only 1002 were produced for teh US market. VIN is JN1CZ14S6JX203040. Any help would be appreciated. Not even Nissan USA can answer my question... FYI

U.S. cars have a 17 character VIN no. Pos. 1-11 of a VIN no. is coded information that identifies a car. Pos. 12-17 is the serial no. portion of the VIN no. I think some countries of the world have VIN numbers that are less than 17 characters. So 203040 is your car’s serial no. but it doesn’t mean your car was the 203,040 SS model to roll off an assembly line. Only Nissan knows how the serial no. correlates with the actual assembly line production no.

Nissan doesn’t want to answer your inquiry probably because there’s no claim or problem associated with it. And even if they do know what the production no. is, they probably don’t want to take the time to look it up because they’re not getting any payment for telling you what it is.

Thank you for your response. The 1988 Nissan 300 ZX Turbo Shiro Special was only 1,057 shipped to North America -- 1002 to the United States and 55 to Canada.
