power transistor? no spark!

hello all.... so here is my problem i recently got this 88 300zx that had an engine fire, i have some experience working on them because this is the third 87-89 i have had, i have repaired any damaged electrical and the greater majority of the sensors i tried to start it and got it to crank but not turn over, after some work i have determined that the engine is getting fuel but no spark. I do not know where the problem is but here are the details: as far as i can determine the crank angle sensor is working the test i used was to turn is and listen if the injectors would fire and they did i also tried switching it out with an known working one and still nothing..... the coil is fine i tested it and i also tried switching it out with an known working one and still nothing... so far as the power transistor the original one i had i do believe didn't work properly because of the fact then when i would crank the car would get very HOT!! and would smoke i switched it out from one from a 85 and had the same problem i have checked the wiring several time and it is correct to the ecu. any help here would be nice thanks. O ya and if there is any way to by pass the stock ignition with some kind of after market one to fix the problem this would be much appreciated.

Hot + Smoke = Short Circuit

i would agree except i don't know where it would be: three wires one to ecu one to coil and one to ground....i checked and these are where everything is leading to as far as i know that is where they are suppose to lead and diagrams or links to check them would be nice. i am out of ideas:102:
