oil pressure help?
 

yesterday i installed an oil cooler and now im worried about oil pressure the first time i started her the oil filter was to small and i leaked oil all over the driveway. but now im worried i added to much the dipstick says that im full but not over but this morning i opened her up a little bit and the oil pressure jumped to about 50lbs, but at idle the pressure stays just below 30lbs. so what im wondering is whats the proper oil pressure for my car. and also whats the worst that could happen if the oil pressure gets to high?

What was the oil pressure BEFORE this?

it held more consistent never strayed below 30 but never above 40, but im worried about what could happen if i add to much oil. also worried about what might happen if the oil pressure spikes to high.

at idle i sit about 15-20 at cruising i sit about 30 -35 , cold mornings i sit about 60-70 , interstate i sit about 40, when im really hard on it , i sit about 55-60. i would to much worry about.

The oil cooler will hold extra oil but if you add too much, you could blow a seal.

ok thats what im worried about. when is the best time to check the oil level?
