Octane

How much octane would you guys use in an 86 nissan 300zx turbo? cuz i don't mind payin for the highest stuff but i have also heard that usin octane too high for the car builds somethin in the car which is very notorious for the my kind of car..thanks

use the high octane stuff in your turbo. it will help to prevent detonation.

non-turbo's do just fine with the lower octane.

at least this is what i've always been advised to do....

I've been up to 10psi on regular a few times with no detonation. I don't push my car that hard for sustained lengths of time though.

i would only use Premium, its the best, and you want the best for your car right? if i put plus in my NA, it will PING really bad. the higher octane, the better your engine runs.
