Need Help

O.k. heres whats up. I finished the turbo swap, installed everything correctly, all vaccum lines, all plugs, everything. Now heres my problem, after all was completed, the car 84 300zx, would start but NOT stay running (idle). No backfireing, just won't stay running. The only way I can keep this thing running is by holding the rpms above 2k, what could be causeing this to happen, I am useing the turbo ecu, turbo injectors, turbo o2 sensor. Everything was from a turbo 84 same year as mine. Someone please help, before I deceid to push this thing off a cliff.

Reset throttle position sensor???

how do you reset the TPS?

i suggest you get a haynes manual for this troubleshooting.

i had to reset the tps just recently cuz i put on a 240sx throttle body.

from the haynes manual:

1 loosen the retaining bolts

2 with engine idling at normal temp, confirm engine is in normal idling specifications. if not, correct idle speed.

3 with the tps connector disconnected connect an ohmmeter to the top two terminals.

4 rotate the tps counterclockwise and the meter should show no continuity.

5 rotate the tps clockwise until continuity is established, then tighten the bolts.

6 replace the connector.

before i had to adjust this i noticed my car seemed to run normal with it unplugged.

good luck

ok first things first

1- did you dis conect the bat. when you did the upgrade?

2- if you did not next time do so.

3- to reset the tps and computer disconect the bat. and wait 1 - 2 minets and reconect it.

4- the problem might be your exsast may not have enght back presher this can be a big problem.and could be the reson car may not stay runing. one guy ont my car club hade same problem and he had is exsat redone and it fixed his idel problem

yes I did disconnect the bat. as far as the exhaust goes, it is the standard turbo exhaust that I am now useing, so I'm positive that back pressure is not the problem, but thanks for the input, any other thoughts, this thing has got me confussed as hell, I'm about to push it off a cliff, granted if I can find one close enough.
