seriously have you compression tested this damned car? before you rip the head off go spend 12 bucks on a thread in compression gauge and make sure thats the problem.

How do you know your turbo is going out?

cause it's not spooling till about 3800rpm and if not a head gasket what would cause such low boost?

**** waste gate, vacuum leaks cause they also equal boost leaks. or an improperly set boost controller. how to tell if your turbo is bad, take off the intake piping on it so you can see the compressor wheel, try to spin it and see if the shaft wobbles, if it rocks around or has resistance spinning it its probably bad, also look at the condition of the compressor blades.

ok so i basically have to take off my turbo cause my "big meaty claws" barely fit but a mechanic friend of mine actually touched it and said it spun properly but my hoses looked oil soaked and they were probably ripped.

you don't need to take it off because your hands won't fit in.... wouldn't you first think to use a tool rather then go through so much extra work just to check?

what kind of tool? like make my little brother check? or like a set of needle nose pliers. but replacing everything can't hurt so im just going to replace all the vacuum lines on the turbo and all the other ones. and also does anybody have a tps connector not the sensor itself but the wire that connects to it cause mine is green and looks like it never makes contact.
