N/A Climate control question
N/A Climate control question
Hello everyone!
Well I guess it's welcome back to the world of Jap cars for me! I just came from a VW I loved very much. I hit something on the highway; and it ripped up the underneath of the car totaling it...
In the mean time, I picked up a 1 owner, 1986 300ZX n/a. Everything works except to things, the gas gauge.. And The heat only works on defrost.
So yes the heat works, however when I press the buttons for the floor, dash vents etc, it just continues to come out of the defrost for the windshield
If it makes any difference my A/C works just fine.
I think It needs a new vacuum hose, while driving I can hear a hissing noise, with the fan off. The fan switch works on the different settings, however it freely slides back and forth from off to on and vice versa.
My friend says it's the switch for the climate control itself. However, I still think it's a vacuum hose. I tried figuring out which one of the hoses under the hood that could have the leak. But I have no idea which one it is.
Can someone help me out here? It gets cold in Colorado... I'll probably be up on here alot, I scored a great deal on this car. It just turned 100k two weeks ago...
