Muffler
Need to replace my muffler for my 1988 2+2 non turbo. Want a muffle that looks and sounds to original muffler that came with the car.
Does anyone know who sells this? |
I would think that any muffler shop would have an OEM equivalent. You can, of course, find direct fit replacements at places like Autozone.
In addition, manufacturers have a look-up on their websites. YouTube comparisons aside, some will let you hear the difference between models such as Thrush. I guess this isn't very helpful if you're looking for a more direct answer -- Nissan lists the muffler as discontinued. |
Nissan’s OEM muffler came with an attached tail pipe and were sold as a single unit. The tail pipe has bend in it to fit over the axel. I went to a dealer to buy a new muffler/tailpipe but was told that it’s NLA (No Longer Available). This was about four years ago.
An independent shop told me that Walker has a muffler that has about the same noise level as the OEM muffler so I went with it. So far, I’ve been satisfied with it. |
