Re: more power

BMW turbo 7series? Huh? I didn't know BMW made a turbo. When was this?

And I'd say the Mazda rotary intercooler would be a bit small judging by the size of the car itself. Go with one from the Izuzu NPR (diesel deliver truck) or Mitsubishi Starion. Those seem to be the most popular choices.

...and from the ashes shall rise a new hope. And it shall be known as "Z". And it will be good.

Re: more power

BMW had a 4.5L (745ti) turbo engine, also a 3.3L inline 6 turbo in europe. (333ti) Probably more than I am missing too... 324td (diesel)... And didn't the 2002Tii have a turbo?

Re: more power

I simply don't know.

Does the 300zx have a Garrett T-3 on it? What size is the 745ti turbo? What make?

I would guess most likely you're looking at a different type of turbo all together, and that it will be quite a pain to adapt. If you want a power upgrade you're likely better off taking your turbo in to a shop specializing in them, and asking them to set you up with something a bit bigger. (likely a hybrid that will use your old exhaust flange)
