Hey guys! I am new to the forums here and I am considering making a purchase of a clean z31. My history will be below and the story on the car.

So when I was 17 I owned my first z31 it was an 84 z31 turbo with a five speed. I loved the car to death and I had a lot of fun with it. I did an exhaust fabled up an FMIC for it at my school. The only downside to this car was that it had the typical z31 cancer and it was beyond repair for me at the time. Motor was a great motor and it ran like a dream so I decided to sell it because I needed the money for my srt4.

I have always booted myself in the *** for getting rid of it and right now I currently own an srt4 which is my daily and a 2013 scion frs 10 series. I am now 24 and I came across an older gentlemen at a gas station who brought up that he liked my frs. He told me he had an 86 300zx non turbo with 90k on it that just blew a timing belt and he loves the car to death but he is too old for the car and was considering scrapping it. I asked him I could look at the car and I did. I must say this is the cleanest z31 shell I have seen aside from the worn seats. When I asked him how much he would like to sell it for he told me if I can match the scrap yard ($150) it is mine with a one owner clean title.

Tomorrow I am picking up the car and I decided that I would actually like to build this car.

My options are swapping in a built vg30et or a 302. I have numerous 302s from my mustang that I had. I know the vg3oets are inexpensive but would the car be worth it to swap a vg30et or would I be better off finding a turbo trans and building the vg30 that is in the car for boost?
