Introducing me and my Z....

2 Attachment(s)
1986 coupe Hot Red with 16,700 original miles. Every part was factory original including the air filter and wiper blades, and then I replaced the factory timing belt last year. The factory radio works fine but the FM doesn't work. When I turn on the FM the antennae lowers. Anyone know anyone who can repair it? I just bought an '86 turbo and need a clutch. Any recommendations?

Oh yea, I'm jim and live in NJ.

why fix junk. get an audio unit made in this century. Stock clutch in my 86 with 10 psi boost runs just fine. or if you want to strengthen your left leg put in a stage 2 clutch.

probably because it's a 16k mile original. Some people like keeping them that way.

then put a real audio unit in the glove box and leave the antique so people can look at the pretty lights. Of course assuming you like tunes in your car.

Yep.

that's what the classic muscle car guys do too so they can leave those old AM radios and 8 tracks in place.

The car looks like it just left the showroom in 1986. It's fully optioned with digital dash and black leather interior and stick shift. I tried to upload more pictures but was unsuccessful.

Until last year no part was ever replaced. (The factory tires were replaced 2 years ago and even the brake pads are factory original), Last year I replaced the factory timing belt, wiper blades, and air filter.

The car is seldom driven (obviously with only 16,000 miles) so there's not much music being listened to. It's more important to me I keep the car as original as possible.

That's why I asked.
Jim
