I'm too Short...

So the project, my NA2T swap running an Infiniti M30 ECU has been on the road for a month now. It's a thrill to drive...

Because I am so short, I have to sit really close to the wheel so I can push the clutch to the floor, even though I have no problem reaching the gas and brake.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? I love the car.

Well the clutch pedal must travel farther (to the floor) to fully engage / disengage than the brake. You might be able to tweak the slave cylinder to fully engage before the pedal bottoms out, then you could just fab up a stop for the pedal. Other than that I suggest attaching a block of wood to the clutch pedal or thicker pedal covers.

+1 to the pedal covers. Wearing thicker boots works as well.

In this case, a higher (built-up) clutch pedal should work OK since the right foot works only accel and brake. No cross-glide required from them to a higher clutch pedal on the left. Still it would take some practice to get used to. We like to do the footwork without thinking about it.

When you figure out how much you need to bring the clutch pedal up, (1"? 1-1/2"?) make your wood block, take the pedal cover off and screw it with large-head wood screws to the bottom of the block. Then snap the pedal cover back on the pedal. Make sure it's stable and secure with some test drives.

If you let anyone else drive, tell them about the pedal height first.

Thanks, the wood block is ok for now. I'll keep my eyes open for something with a more "finished" look.

I'll post pics of the car at some point, it looks pretty cool.
