Okay I ran over something on the road today, I tried not to, but it was unavoidable. So, after I ran it over, I started to hear this rubbing noise whenever im not accelerating, or when i engage the clutch. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I know its not the engine but i think it might be the tranny or something drivetrain.

If I was going to guess I'd say the same thing ZenArcher said
When you excelerate, push the clutch, let off the gas ect.the torque on the suspention will change and raise or lower the car body Which at times will bring the floor pan closer to the drive shaft and if something is wraped around it might only rub when the body is riding closer to the ground and shaft

Thanx yall! I don't know what the problem was but it went away, and when my car was in the shop I found out that I didn't need a new transmission or a new rear end just a transmission mount. Good news!!
