how much lower?
 

I just bought a 1986 300ZX, the first things I'm gonna do is lowering and exhaust. I found where I'm gonna get exhaust but im not sure about lowering it.
How much should i lower it? 2"? 1 1/2"?
Where can i get springs?

I personally say don't lower it.. It don't need it.. And it'll screw with your camber.

PROBABLY WAS A HONDA WITH A WING AND AN EXHAUST THAT TOLD EVERY COP AROUND TO COME AND GET HIM.SUGGESTION:1)GOOD SHOCKS AND STRUTS 2)GOOD BRAKES 3) GOOD ALIGNMENT. START FROM THE BASICS AND GO FROM THERE. AND IF YOU DO LOWER IT GO WITH THE EBACH SPRINGS THAT TEND TO DO THE LEAST AMOUNT OF DAMAGE TO THE CAMBER. WHICH IF HE SCREWS UP TOO MUCH AND DOESN'T DO SOMETHING WITH HE WILL BE BUYING TIRES EVER YEAR.

trust me.....i was asking my suspension tech about lowering it too.....i'm all for it....but the horrible stories he told me about what would happen to the cambers....it made me change my mind big time.......i guess that's why you don't see z31 dropped...

Tokico, but you didn't specify if yours is turbo or non turbo. I know Tokico makes 5 way adjustable for turbo models, not sure about NA's.

you didn't read the modifications section on http://z31.com did you? Cause if you had, you wouldn't have asked that question.

Try doing a little research before you ask any more questions. 95% of the questions you have right now are already answered on that site.
