Headers and Oil Filter

I just finished installing a set of headers on my 87 NA from The Z Store. My old crossover pipe was leaking and wouldn't come off P.S. manifold. It was cheaper to upgrade to the headers then buy new crossover pipe and manifold. Installed everything via the instructions on Z31.com, went pretty smooth just had to sand where the clamp goes on the Y pipe. My question is will I need to remove the starter every time I do an oil change to get the filter out, or does someone have a trick on getting the filter in and out?

You shouldn't have to. When my 89na was non-turbo, i had the MSA headers on there. The oil filter was accessible from above. I usually shove a few shop towels on top of the starter before taking off the oil filter so it doesn't get oil on it.

oil filter

Or... you could relocate the filter with a kit and never have to mess with trying to get the filter. I put mine on the frame rail in front of the rt front tire.
