Hey, I hope all of you had an awesome Thanksgiving! I think we all at LEAST have our Z's to be thankful for. :D

Anyways, as I was reading some of the posts on this site, I became very curious as to what some of you did for a living. How many of you are actual mechanics, and how many of you and mere hobbyists (geniuses though you may be :rolleyes: )? Please let us know!

As for me, I am a history and math high school teacher here in the south side of Chicago. I've also had the privilege of helping to start an auto club here in my school this year, and we've already shown my students a thing or two about the Nissan Z. :p If any of you that live in the Chicagoland area would like to be a guest speaker at my school, please let me know! We'd love to have you share your knowledge of the Z and automobiles in general!

Would we get paid for it?

Actually, right now, I'm unemployed.:(
Unfortunately, I have been for quite some time now. At least I have my Z to keep me busy.:) Funny the stuff that comes up when you need some cash. Although I haven't been 'employed' for some time, I seem to come up with odd tasks here and there that get me just the right amount of money that I need to get something paid.:D Thank you up there, whoever's keeping an eye out for me.

What grades do you teach? I'm assuming high school because of the nature of the subject.

Well...when im not in school...and not in a pool...im only left with the weekends actually, lol...

BUT on those I work at a place called Channel Star Excursions, where I sit in a booth about 12ft by 12ft and I sell tickets for people to go on these old paddle wheel boats...I just sit there half the day doin nuthing except reading SuperStreet and various Snowboarding magazines...its not to bad...its a job ya kno? To bad it doesnt quite cover the xpenses of my Z, I can say thanks to my parents for those funds!

I really wish there was a teacher with the same intrests in cars as me at my school that would kick ass...

Sigh...Thanksgiving is over, and very soon we'll all need to get back to wherever it is that we work or study. I suppose the old cliche is indeed ture...time flies by SO quickly when you're having fun. :(

I'm a builder for Whitbey Motorcars. There we build the FactoryFive '65 427 Roadster replica kits (Hmm, I can't say Cobra or Carroll will get mad, again).

It's my first job out of school and I love it. Building hot-rods, and playing with them too (somebody has to test drive them).

I'm thankful for the opportunity to make money doing something I love.
