Alright Craig, This is how it goes... This is one of the worst problems in Z cars of these years. To fix the prob you need to take the plastic peice under the stearing wheel off like unscrew the cover then where your right knee goes you will find a silver box. unscrew that box and take it out. open it up and you will see a circut board on witch some of the solder spots have either been chipped of fallen apart anyways just solder anything you see a crack in or (just use your judgement on this one). Put it back together and whoolaa.
Works Perfectly...

Another problem that seems to happen also is the connectors on the box start to rust or need some contact cleaning.

Clean both the cable and the box and use some eletrical contact gue (can't remember the name) on the leads.

Should work unless your need soldering as mentioned above..

Re: Digital Dash

sure you can. you would need the correct sensors and wiring harness to make it work. It's a royal pain to do from what I've heard. You need the dash display, power supply, boost sensor, speedo controller, and various other sensors too. If you swap the dash, it won't match your pod gauges unless you swap those too. You will also need the wiring diagrams so you know how/where to connect which wires.
