Auto Trans Rebuild? (E4N71B)

Anyone have a good website to purchase parts for the E4N71B auto trans for my 88 z31? I have priced one out on Engine and Transmission World but I want to make sure I get the right parts, so here's what happened.

I was driving and my trans started slipping a little. I figured no big deal since it was cold and the gasket was leaking. I put in a little ATF and it was fine until I got off the freeway. I tried to go after stopping at a red light and the car did not have any forward drive but the engine was revving. I know the torque converter is fine. I was pushed to a parking lot where I put in ATF and I saw it all just running out of the front of the trans on the flange. The seal is not what I'm looking for. It stripped all the gears and bands. I need to know if I also need to get a valve body or not? I already planned on replacing the pan gasket and filter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would love to get my z back on the road!:icon_super:

Thank you,
Derek

I really want to! The only problem is finding a clean donor car haha. The original plan was to put a 5 speed in but its cheaper to fix the auto for now and then put in the 5sp when i swap in the ls3 v8.

He would be better off with the auto then that T5. All you really need for a rebuild is new clutches and bands. Try pep boys, napa, dealer...etc

I don't need the valve body then? Only the bands and clutches?

Oh, one pretty important (or not) thing: the tranny is still in the car. I haven't taken it out yet.
