Advice?

Today I saw an 87' 300zx. 152K miles at $2,200 selling price.
Is this a reasonable price? Also, can you fit another engine (L26,L28 etc. in-line six) on the 300zx. I currently own three Z's. One has 57K original miles.

Thanks in advance,

Re: Advice?

if the body is in great condition, and never wrecked and is a fully functional car then that is a fair price. make sure you find out if the timing belt/water pump has been changed and when. also you can call your nissan dealer with the VIN to see if the injector recall has been done. look under the tool kit in the rear of the car for signs of rust also.

I don't know what other engines you can put into the car. Anything is possible, given the time, money and other resources.

Re: Advice?

Why would you want to put a straight 6 in a 300? Do you have one of those "super Jap inline6 engines"?

Re: Advice?

You could probably put any motor in you want but why not just beef up a turbo engine (VG30ET)?

Re: Advice?

Yes if the body is in good shape than the price is fair.
But as for the eng.no you can not put a inline 6.The cost would
be outrages.remember the ecm would need to be replaced along with the body harness and eng.room harness.besides welding of brackets specially made for the eng.mounts.It is better just to get another vg30 non turbo eng.

Re: Advice?

So the real answer is.

Yes. You can. But you won't want to see the bill for doing it.

Remember. Anything is possible with money. Well, almost anything. 8P
