I bought one at a junkyard but since I bought the entire rear suspension, (including rear xmember, control arms, brakes/rotors, halfshafts, springs, swaybar, and of course the differential), I can't say what just the diff would cost. I paid 350 for all of that. I think i got a break though cause I got all that, and the whole interior too (it was an SS), but the interior was rung up on a separate ticket.
I know a different junkyard charged 300 for just a differential, but it was the clutch type lsd, not viscous.
all of these were at regular yards, not the "pull-your-own-part" type.

I bought a viscous LSD from the Zbarn for $400 with axles. Normally they wouldn't sell for that cheap, but I'm local and know them. It saves them a lot of time and money because they don't have to ship it. They called on one day and said they had the car...I got price, agreed to pay, and picked it up the next day.
Normally you'd probably pay about $500 for them...but may get lucky.
