my 86 z will not start and i am completly stumped on what the problem is dose anyone have any idea of why the car will not start?

 

your question is too vague. your mechanic is about to take you for a lot of money.

Lets start with the basics...
do you have a good battery?
do you have a good starter?
do you have the distributor on right?

when was the last time it started?
what was the last thing you did to it before it stopped starting?

We are mechanic's and even before we could start aynthing we'd have to have more input or else we would have to ck everthing from the beginning Crank? Fuel delievry/pulse?spark? if these all exist then is timing belt/cam timing correct?
compression? Do you you get my drift??? some common aea we have run into with nissan cars resulting in no starts has been didtributors and ECU's but don't jump so quick.
