86 struts na vs turbo
 

Hey folks. I've been looking to upgrade my suspension. And ive got an NA2T swap setup in an 86. But I was stupid and didn't get a doner car so i could steal the turbo front suspension, and I cannot find tokico illumina struts for the NA front end, just the turbo model. So I'm wondering what I could use for the front suspension that would be similar or better performance wise. Just looking for opinions. Especially since some of the older threads on struts list brands that are either discontinued, or just hidden very carefully. :)

turbo struts were the variable adjust. shot at the age of the car. bilstein, tokiko or kyb will all work fine.

Thanks for the tip roger. How stiff are those compared to others. I'm looking to get the stiffest ones I can. Ride comfort isn't really a big deal to me. I'm not daily driving it. And I'm hoping to take it to Summit Point in WV this upcoming summer.

don't know about stiff. my 86t with kyb corner just fine. Don't think a lot of difference between the top three except bilstein cost more. consider a strut tower brace if nothing else looks kewl at the meet with the hood open.
