50th AE boost gauge?

I just recently purchased this car and for the life of me I can't find the boost gauge. Did these cars come from the factory without a boost gauge? I remember my buddy had 84 turbo (Non AE) with analog gauges and his car had one. What am I missing here?

you didn't specify if you had digi dash or not. Makes a difference but maybe AE only came with digi. if a bunch of small bars come up showing what looks like a power curve that is your boost gage (totally useless). I threw out my compass (I know where north is) and the accelerometer (also totally useless). threw out the module with those things. Put in fuel pressure and boost in their place. which are at least useful. Harbor Freight had some nice ones for twenty bucks the right diameter but I think they discontinued that item

You are correct, AE cars only came with digital dashes. I will have to check what you suggested but I wont be changing any of the gauges because that will devalue the car.

Unless the car has zero rust, less than 5k miles, and will spend it's life on a Nissan showroom floor, adding / changing gauges isn't going to devalue the car.

Since this post was brought up.. I would like to replace my accelerometer and compass when I replace my digi dash. What size are those guages?

Its not quite that nice but other than the radio being changed, it's pretty complete. No rust or anything like that. Since the production numbers were so low on these cars, I would like to keep it as original as possible.

Everything for the body sonic is still in place other than the factory radio. I was told that it all still worked but I wont know for sure until/unless I put a factory radio back in the car.

Unless it is a piece of junk or a DD, the 50th AE's have been increasing in value over the years.
Your description is of a showroom quality car, but even one in very good condition can fetch $6K. The ones in great shape have sold for $10k. A few exceptional ones have sold for as much as $17k
As far as I am concerned, I would suggest the OP leave it stock, as I agree with him that alterations could lessen it's appeal/value.

This advice coming from someone who owns two, one stock and one modified.
