300zx gurus I need your help!
 
Hey, I just acquired a z31 and I’m wondering what it would be worth if fixed up properly with stock parts and so on. It’s a Canadian version 1984 300zx anniversary edition that came without a turbo (as in it was n/a stock) it’s got 100000km or around 61000 miles. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

The value of the Z31 is completely based on its condition. How much rust needs To be repaired. Also, if that is a non-turbo, then someone stuck on an anniversary badge on a normal Z31 because all AE's came with the same options a fully loaded Z31 TURBO. with either a manual or automatic transmission, the only option.

Below are the indicators of a real 84 Z31 AE.

it has all of the things listed there except the turbo.

If this was a question for an insurance company (think: claim) they would search autotrader and the like to come up with a value. You might find more folks are willing to answer your question were you planning to keep it.

I am going to keep it, I’m just wondering what it is worth because it interests me.

Check the Model plate on driver's strut tower.

Look at line that contains MODEL information. On this line you should see "L5". If the line doesn't have "L5" in it, the car is not a true 50th Anniversary Edition.

There are only 6 possible combination of letters for this line for the North American 50th AEs. They are as follows:
  • KHLZ31XTNGL5W
  • KHLZ31XTVGL5W
  • KHLZ31XTUGL5W
  • KHLZ31XATNGL5W
  • KHLZ31XATVGL5W
  • KHLZ31XATUGL5W
If it isn't one of these numbers, it isn't a North American AE. The "N" is for Canadian models. The "V" is for Californian models. The "U" is for the other United States models. The "A" is for automatics.
