1986 na

I just bought this 86 NA for $150 yesterday. 16 X 7 +20 Rikens with 225/50/R19 KUMHO's. It needs a battery. I don't know if it runs yet. It hasn't been started in over a year. Not sure yet why. The guy who had it didn’t know anything about it and didn’t care. He said it was given to his 14 year old kid by his ex-wifes boyfriend as a first car. He lost interest while waiting to turn 16 and left it in dad’s driveway. The dad has no idea what’s up with it. He just wanted it gone. (He said it reminds him of his cheating ex-wife.)

I removed the bra and washed the car. The nose looks like it's a lighter shade of gold. The bra might have been a cover-up after a bad paint match or repair.

The wheels cleaned up pretty good too, only one small curb scrape that repairable. Are these the Enkei Riken 16" wheels that are in demand?

Nice find! I'd have jumped on that for $150 bucks! Lost interest in a car before he got to drive it? WTF?! How many miles are on it?

164K. It started right up with a good battery.

I also bought 87 Na today for $300 today. The 86 is running good and for sale for $1500. This 87 is another victim of a fire due to fuel injector leak. Don’t let this happen to you.
Get the service campaign repair done on your car if you haven’t already.

Wow....y'all get some great deals out west. I guarantee you those cars would have going for alot more money here in the Midwest. There was a black Z31 turbo for sale here for like $1,900 that wasn't near as nice as those two.

Yeah, even shitty old rusty cars sell for more than that out here! I need the kind of deals you find! Damn!

That poor 87. People are so dumb about that campaign. I've seen so many VG30 engines catch on fire. You almost feel sorry for them, but then you just can't, because anyone who knows anything about Nissans of that era has probably already told them about the T-belt and the injectors. A quick search online will find these things. I do feel sorry for those that it happens to on the way home from buying the cars, or those who never even got a chance to find out about the two biggest things to worry about. :089:

I love when people resurrect dead old threads!
