Hey guys, i'm a proud new owner of a 1986 300zx Z31 turbo, as i was attempting to change a burned out headlight, i ran into a problem, i couldn't take the finisher plate out of the headlight housing. Does anyone have any pointer tips on how to remove it? P.S. - Yes, i took out the two screws holding it in on the sides, the plastic just keeps on getting stuck .

 

Best I was able to do was get it loose, there are two spring clips at the bottom on each side that hold it in place there and re-aligning and inserting is a bitch. I removed the retaining ring with the finisher loose and just changed it that way. The screws are not magnetic(finisher) so be careful not to drop.
