i was thinking about getting a 1984 300zx for $2900... i'm not sure if it is reliable... it's got a swaped motor... not sure how long it will last.. there's also a talon tsi that for sale too.. not sure wut is better to get... can ya give me advice?

 

What kind of engine was swapped in, and why? and how many k did it have on it when swapped? If the body is in good shape and the interior is good and the engine seems to be running fine, no smoke or anything, then I'd say yes, it is likely a good car. I've owned 2 300's and both were excellent, totally reliable and never left me stranded (except the time I snapped an axle, but that's another story)
