No problem at all, but...
Yeah, those rims should be no problem at all. I have an '89 Z and I have a set of Exel rims too, and they rock! All my friends fell in love with 'em when they saw it. I got the GT7's but they're very similar. But because of the larger offset (distance between the center of rim to the stud face), you will need to use some wheel spacers to move the rims outwards or the rims will look too small for the car.
I called the Wheelmax people and they said that the wheelz wouldnt fit. I said that i knew of a guy that had em on his....but he wouldnt listen...lol so where did you get yours?
Thanks,
Rob

I got 'em from WheelMax too...but
I just noticed that your Z is an '84, whereas mine is like RedPrl Z's, the '87-'89 Z. Does your Z use 5X114.3 rims, like all the other Z's from '87-'03? If it does, then I still think that you would not have any problems. Otherwise, you may want to shop around for some different rims.
Hey, I just checked out the pics of your car and sadly, your car uses 4-lug rims. But don't worry, there are LOTS of very nice 4-lug rims out there (like those designed for Integras & Civics). The first number of 5X114.3 tells you the number of lugs, so look for rims that have a 4 lug fitment (most likely, your car uses 4X114.3 or 4X100 rims and most aftermarket 4 lug rims will allow for both sizes). Good luck!
i think i go it...
Ok ok I think Im ACTUALLY starting to get this...I went and looked at the Z31 one site....and what you said....then went to this site
http://www.autosportz.com/rims_exel.htm
and it sais that the wheelz TZ 10 , Shu , all have that
Bolt Pattern: 4x114.3, 4x100
The offset on the Z is 30 and that would be the only problem im guessing and thats why i would get ADAPTERS, right?
Thanks you are really helping me out.

If I were you i wouldn't buy exel rims. Everyone I know that has them or has had them, has had problems with them. My neighbor bought a set of exel rims and bent two of them within a week. I also heard that their customer service was horrible, another owner of exel rims had some serious problems. go here, http://www.acura-tl.com/forum/showth...ight=wheel+max to read all about his problems. If you want some new rims i would go with ssr's or enkei rims.
Thanks
Thank you very much for that input. Sounds like a nightmare that i wouldnt get anywhere with.
Actually i was looking at Konig Tantrum wheels...I saw on SHOWROOM post on Z31 that they are direct fit...sounds good to me : )

Hmmmm....I did not encounter those problems with either WheelMax or Exel rims, but maybe I've been lucky (which doesn't happen often, especially at the casinos). But I'll keep an eye on 'em and let you know if anything unspeakable DOES happen! Enkei rims are totally sweet though, but at the time I was desperately seeking some NICE looking 7 spokers and Enkei didn't have any. Go figure...
