brake fluid

got another question for everyone. when i get my 87 300zx Turbo i plan on puting speed bleeders on it and replacing the fluid with dot-4 or dot-5. i dont know which one i want to use, hoping for some good opinion's from you guy's expirience. i not going to be doing a whole lot of racing just the drag strip and a few circut races now and then, alos going to have x-drilled and slotted rotors, performance pads and Z32 TT front calipers on it as well. thanks.

Since the car was engineered to use DOT-3 fluid, either will work. You can go up, but not down on the rating of fluid.

However, if you bleed your system on a regular basis, and flush it every so often, DOT-3 will serve you just fine on a street application. If you intend to race it, then it's only wise to go with a true synthetic fluid. And I think many DOT-5 fluids are synth.

so dot-3 should do just fine for street and i'll say a moderate amount of racing with it? or should i just go inbetween and use dot-4?
