Need glue!

2 of the plastic knobs on my Ttops for the shade locks came off.... I tried glass adhesive for rear view mirros but it didn;t work.

Can anyone suggest a glue or something that will work to stick these suckers back on?

Anyone know also, where I might find replacment shades... or what I could use to fix cracks in them?

huh, the rearview glue should have worked. try a 2 part epoxy i guess, that should do it. make sure you clean the area really good.

Update**

Went back to the shop this morning to take another look at the new Z with my boyfriend. I wanted his help seeing if we could get her started. I found that she had mint condition Shades in the back.. so I snagged those and switched Ttops.

Problem solved.

Yeah, I know this is an old thread, but I struggled with Krazy glue and epoxies for a few years before I decided to just use black silicone. I'll bet they'll be there for the life of the car now.

Good call. I used Gorilla Glue, but if that fails now I know what to use.

there's a new epoxy type stuff made by West System out that sticks to anything. meant for sticking unlike materials together. like... plastic... or metal to glass. or, anything to anything... hard... i forget what it's called though.

I learned the power of silicone when I worked on boats for a living. Many don't think it's so strong. As long as it's sealed well, it is extremely strong and holds up under extreme temps.
