z wont start
 

My z wont turn over, if i turn the key the car sounds like its about to crank but only for a split second. I started the car yesterday but it was running pretty rough. I noticed today though that my boost gauge is reading much less vacc. when i turn the key to the on position than it did before, but i dont understand why as i havent done anything to the car, i also noticed that the rpms on my digidash blink full rpm for that second i try to start it. I am lost

A motor needs 3 things to start:
#1: Proper fuel
#2: Proper spark
#3: Proper air


Is there fuel to the injectors? Is there spark?

And the problem was???

my fuel gauge misled me. It read 1/4 tank when in fact it was on E. I feel like an idiot but my digidash has a short in it somewhere, the lights come on when they want, i dont think that cause the fuel gauge to read wrong but ill figure it out. Thanks for all the help

ZXT83 did you check the dimmer switch on the dash, the one that makes the lights brighter or dimmer? I had the same issue on my 280zx and found out that the dang switch was not correct. Every time I would go over a hard bump the lights would flicker...drive me crazy that way.
