That hose sucks the excess vapor off the top of the engine valve cover or brings in some air due to the PCV hose sucking so much. Its a vent of sort. Some people put a small filter on the vale cover like in the picture.

This one??

Ahh, OK. That engine is pretty mod-ed out, but I see that it recirculates the excess engine vapor for the emission system.

I couldn't find the part name or the part number for it. Mine has a crack down the bottom near the valve cover connection and I was thinking about replacing it. Deleting it from the emissions would reduce MPG? Would I just find a delete cover for the air intake connection point?

I was digging around a bit and also found this connection that is broken and very loose..... any help with this part??

the connection between the two spark plugs

The copper line is your A/C.
Removing the hose will not affect emissions, just don't plug the valve cover, put a filter on it. You can replace the hose with bulk hose from auto parts store. Probably 5/8 or 3/4 hose. Take it with you. Plug the intake boot if you remove the hose. Your PCV valve and hose are under the intake manifold. You can see it here.

That is THE most important sensor for your fuel injection system. It is the cylinder head temp sensor. You can pull it out any time because it does not extend into the coolant jacket. It just reads the temp of the metal. If it comes off your car will run very very very poorly if it runs at all. Order some new upgraded Bosch type connectors. You can get a kit that will do all of the connectors on the engine. You won't regret replacing all the connectors because the new style come off very EZ and are more water resistant that the old style. This is what the new style look like. You just have to squeeze the metal wire and they come off super EZ but lock in place well. You can also get the kits with the wires installed and you have to splice them onto your harness.

oh dang! I have to look into this! my car started running pretty poorly suddenly and I thought it might have been the fuel injectors were clogged because I let the fuel get low. I hope I can clean it up and put a make-shift connection securely on it because I have to move it next week.

Anywhere else i can read up on these?

Thanks for the info!

Be happy it runs. The L-Jetronic fuel injection system is a pretty simple system. This is a 20 part description of how your injection works. Worth the watch. Watch them all.
