The injections system on the Z's had issues with boiling the fuel from what I understand. The only times I have seen them removed that makes sense is on an aftermarket built fuel rail, and injectors.
I am curious for a definite answer too. I think living in the heat of the desert, I would leave it on. But, I am curious how crucial it actually it.

proper spelling is great but wat ever now and then isnt a big deal but when typing a problem or question THATS when it becomes important just so we understand fully, i didnt see any problem with what you typed though so no big 2by2 is jsut a butt hurt adolescent haha. also the injector fans are a crock theres this SUPPOSED fuel boiling problem which is called vapor lock but i have NEVER had it happened nor heard of it happening and the injector cooler fan barely works on these cars so if you dont like it you can take it off and never look back. always try a search before asking but sometimes a new thread is needed. this is one of those questions that has been asked many a times though. no big your new and we are all cool people so dont get deterred just take a bit more initiative in the start if you cant answer it for your self after a few minutes of searching then go ahead and ask
Ah yes. The new text message era of writing... I don't think I can get used to that. Yeah.. I can understand it, but dang. Why have to work at understanding what someone is trying to say? haha
I am not going to be picky about it.
So.. No vapor lock problems in hot climates as well? Why was Nissan so concerned with it happening? Not that manufacturer make all the right choices.
I remember a discussion on it being because of fuel quality in the 80's.
I don't personally see the point. I don't know of other cars having them either.

that sir, i have no freaking clue im guessing tied into the coolant system and just stuck on its own thing... whats it called... drawing a blank... ummm ummmm....
RELAY! lol thats it. i honestly could not think of the word haha.

No, not really.
It's some kind of translation between the FSM that gets messed up. Haynes, and Chilton do a good job of screwing up the facts, and not only giving false information, but making things harder than they have to be.
I agree, than Haynes has gotten worse over the years. But, there was still the game of telephone and information that can be important get's messed up. Then you have to determine what parts if not the whole book to lose faith in.
When I can, I go straight to the FSM's. The problem is that they are harder to obtain.
Give me a wiring schematic that is worth a ****, and a blueprint. haha
theres a fleamarket near by me every weekend and some guy there always has FSMs some times they come and go but there is always one for a 79 zx, the only reason i dont buy it is because i already have one, but i can buy it for some one on here if they needs it.

Tony D and I had an at least 2 page thread about the issue with heat soak in the fuel rail and what not. I've heard that the 280ZXs shouldn't have an issue, but it still seems to be. Probably more so due to the fact that I removed the small heatshield that was on my exhaust manifold, and that my exhaust manifold still leaks a bit. Our engines with the intake directly over the exhaust especially on turbos can gain alot of heat. There's not a lot of room for that heat to go elsewhere. I've personally never noticed the cooling fan kick on, but then again it may be kicking on while I'm away from the car. That sensor does sit there and watch the temperature.
I've actually monitored the change in the fuel pressure from the heat. For a while there I just kept my fuel pressure gauge hooked up. I'd notice that after a minute or so after turning the car off the fuel pressure in the lines would actually start rising. You don't have the cool fuel circulating to keep the temps down, you don't have the coolant flow to keep temps down etc. For about 10 minutes maybe longer depending on the day the fuel pressure would rise from the fact that the fuel is becoming heated so much. Then after enough time as the heat had dissipated and the fuel could start to cool down the fuel pressure in the rail would drop alot, primarily from the fact that alot of it as it starts to turn to gas makes it way past the fuel pressure regulator. So really the cooling fan should be able to help. The best way to look at is, Nissan wouldn't have designed it for no reason.

mine worked for a week then stoped so i took it off, it was cool to walk away and hear the fan still going, people would be like "hey are you going to turn that off", id be like naw it does it itself.... oh snap!!!
