warning light
 

i have a 79 280zx and the little red warning light in the instrument panel has been lighting up since the car was new telling me that my stoplight taillights an head lights sre burnt out does when nothing is wrong, does anyone know y it is doing this?

Check the globes again they might not be blown but might not be making contact ;)

i checked everything, all the connections and all the bulbs; its been doing this for the last 20 years but its finally begun to bother me enough to ask for help

what do i do eith the hammers?

Mine used to do that too from the day I bought it. Then one day one of my running light bulbs was out. So I replaced all the rear lights, including turn signals just because I was back there and bulbs are cheap.

Amazingly, the dash no longer thinks my tail lights are burnt out. Maybe its just corrosion on some sensor wire in the tail light housing, and taking out and putting back in a bulb cleaned it up enough to realize there is voltage there....
