Carfax only goes back to 1990 as far as vehicle history and only accepts 17 digit vin numbers vs the 11 digit for earlier history. Calif. DMV only gives out the registration an common reg. history.My potential buyer for the vehicle wants salvage, wrecks, speedometer rollback etc.Both the CHP and DMV are useless as far as the info I want. Any suggestions. Thanx in advance.
