Turn signal is blinking unusually fast..
Ok, here's what's going on: I am planning to replace my front bumper turn signals with these 2-wire LED light units. They already function properly, having been wired to the red/blue and green wires. However, because the original 3-wire turn signal/parking light units are now gone, the blinkers flash unusually fast, because it thinks the bulb is burned out. So my question is if there's a way to "trick" the blinker into flashing at a normal rate? I'm thinking a resistor wired in somewhere might do the trick, but what rating of resistor would I use, and where would I wire it in at?

the flasher unit needs a certin resistance for it to work properly. hince why it is so fast when one goes out. this is not a "helpfull reminder" just a pro of the system. the LED's don't use half as much. so yes it thinks there burned out. do some math and get the correct resistance counter balance. Stock bulb resistance vrs LED resistance and the diff will be the resistor you need to get. Or just get a LED flasher unit made for it.

Look on the bright side, if you cannot fix the blinker you can throw some killer Raves.
Like this one but, instead of the lightswitch it is your blinker.

the electronic flasher goes directly in place of the factory unit, the only weird part is, my flaser is now square so it didnt fit in the same spot/holder. i just used zap straps instead. wow heat rave r you have installed more lights since msa 07!!

Haha, actually, that's an old picture, and I've since removed the center armrest lighting. I revised my interior last year, but never got around to taking/posting pics.
