i have searched with no real answer to my question.

i have a 82 280zx non turbo. it was my daily driver until it over heated and warped the head. the engine as of now is pulled apart and sitting in the shop.

i have my 81 280zx with a 83 turbo engine in it. that has been my daily driver.
the body, frame is rusted pretty bad. cars in bad shape. bad shocks. cracked windshield. no interior, etc.

im wanting to swap everything from one car to another.

the 81 uses a haltech ecu. msd box, etc.

what i wanted to know is what all i'd loose by switching the engine and unhooking the stock ECU to put the haltech in. is there anything thats ran into the ECU? as far as cruise control? on board diagnostics? etc?
