T-Top keys
The original owner of the 280zxt I recently aquired cannot locate the T-top keys. The tops are locked and they have the padlock looking z logo locks on them. Anyone know if its possible to get a replacement key, without the original or am I screwed on being able to get the tops off?

The keys are like the bubblegum / candy machine keys: round & hollow w/ a tab on one end (or at least the ones I've seen are like that). One of my t-topped z's had them locked w/ no key. I was able to rig up a key to take one off, but I couldn't get the other off, so I took some vice grips to it & broke it off. :D

As far as I know, the t-tops locks are the same as the ignition key.

Yeah I have a set of these. And it is a little goldish key. That is pretty much a normal looking key. Just shorter than let's say. The ignition and door keys. The locks are black with a red background, and a silver Z. Pretty sweet looking.
Thats exactly what they are. So it is a normal key... just a little sorter. hmm :017: |
