Swapping Heads?
 

I have a 1982 280ZX engine head non-turbo, is it possible to swap heads with a 1983 280ZX P-90a head? Allowing to replace the present hydralic lifters with solids.

Or I need another P-90a head with hydraulic lifters if you know someone please inform me.

yes you could swap heads. The main difference is that your non-turbo head is going to have round exhaust ports vs square ports in your P90a head. The best swap would be to get a 1981-82 P90 head from a turbo car and swap that on. everything will be exactly the same plus you'll have replacable rocker arms instead of those hydralic lifters.

This is exactly what we are doing. We found a P-90 head and are going from there. You're right the Hydralics are just way out of line with the reality of this car.
