Starter Jump Start
 
I'm a bit tipsy but i've been working on my car and i've been trying to start it by jumping the starter and it only spins the started but doesnt engage the solenoid and doesnt spin the flywheel which starts the car, anyo0fnne know why brand new starter shouldnt be doing this any advice?

is the ignition on?..because the fuel pump needs to be on before you attempt to bypass the starter....and are the wires on the right terminal of the starter?

Yes, but i havent done any serious wiring yet, will do that tomorrow and hypothesize

the ignition doesn't need to be on to jump the starter motor.. if its jumped correctly the starter motor should still spin and engage the flywheel.. are you jumping the positive terminal on the solenoid and the terminal where the yellow wire connects to?

Negative, didnt try that yet.

I'm still curious as to what the sunofabitch did to create this bullshit.

Can ANYONE tell me which wire directly goes from the ignition switch, to wherever? Manual says the Yellow wire from the ignition... Correct? Then where does that go?
