solid engine mounts?
i took off my engine mounts and all who know what they look like guess what i did? i burned off all the rubber and closed the gap then welded it stiff. But there was a HUGE complication! i didnt measure how high the mount shoud have been (rubber mounts compress alot.....). so come to find out with motor down and all; i am 4 1/2 inches above the rack and pinon. you may think its not huge but that is extremely high. so off to the welding shop again. this time i measured the height i wanted, mabe a 1/4 inch above the rack, so this mount is really slim. btw anyone have solid engine mounts???? or experienced it?

just got the mounts redone and now it is a 1/2 inch too low (engine lays on rack) so the easiest solution and quickest is to add washers to raise the mounts 1/2"....

top pic is sideways, so bear with me....

also i still have to trim the excess plate off.

GOOD LUCK, BJ
You could also make your own urethane mounts out of 3m window weld.
Runs about $15.00 a tube and 1 tube will do 2 motor mounts and about half a transmission mount.
I've used the stuff on my B13,S130,and my S13 and like it better than oem or solid mounts.
The stuff takes about 3 days to cure, its a lot stiffer than the stock rubber ones and you only get a little excessive vibration over the "I think I need dental work" solid mounting method.

I found mine at carquest. The 3m part number is 0 51135-08609.
Just in case you don't have a carquest near you 3m's number is 800-364-3577.
Word to the wise, make sure you wear some gloves,it takes about a week to get the stuff off your skin.
