so close with cruise control, share with me your knowledge

ok i'l so close and didn't want to hack another thread. i cant get my cruise to work. on the panel the on light comes on but cruise will not work, when i press the stalk i can hear a click in the relay meaning something is amiss. i wondered if it was the solenoids that operate vacuum pressure to the unit so I ran some wire to the interior light and operated whilst in motion and they open up completely so no problem there. the "tink/clicking" of the relay would indicate there is an electrical connection that is complete and i've also replaced the cruise on/off box and tried relay switching but still the same. should i go and replace the box's underneath the seats? i've tried searching on ebay but none have come up so if so does anybody have them in working order i can paypal money to you for

99% of all problems with the factory cruise control is a leaky, bad, degraded vacuum hose. Check the hose from the cruise control module in the engine bay.

thats all working fine, tested that when i had the motors hooked to a separate power source and could run the car by turning the interior light switch on/off also checked each section by sucking on the hoses which was definitely not the best thing i have tasted

check the litte plastic contacts on the pedals themselves, there are three of them. two on the brake pedal and one on the clutch if equipped. part # 46512-H0101.

The switches contact the plastic pieces, what happens is the plastic pieces over time get hard and brake. So the button on the switch won't be pushed in. To make a long story short the switch thinks you foot is on the brake pedal, or the clutch. And this will cause the criuse control to disengauge in your case not engauge! SO get a flashlight look almost the top of you brake pedal arm and either you should see the holes where the platic pieces where or the remians of the broken ones.

if only it was that easy

ok i looked and as you can see in the photos (sorry about focus as it was shoot and hope for focus points)as per the 1st photo i only have 1 per pedal, 1 brake and 1 clutch. 2nd and 3rd photos you can see me press the pedals for the plastic part to pop out. now something i noticed as per 4th photo was the wires from both pedals switches all go into a loom now a bit further up wires come out of that loom and into the two "canisters" i'l call them next to the brake pedal. now out of this loom is also a plug connected to nothing with a green and green with blue stripe wire. whats this for or is it something not used in my car ie something for an auto or overseas markets
