Off the line I can see an AWD beating most any Z. But what are those cars running in the 1/4 mile stock and with some mods?

 

EVO's are fast cars....so are SRT-4s, STIs, etc. I've raced all three and beaten all three. This was all in my old TT (STG3) and all was from a roll. The SRT-4 and evo were on the freeway and they were pretty easy kills. The STI, however, was from a 10mph roll, he ATE me off the get go!!! I couldn't believe how hard he launched taht thing! It was bouncing off the limiter and he just popped the clutch and grabbed! I was impressed, by the end of 3rd gear, I was a car and a half in front though and shut it down there. But he must of jumped 3 cars ahead off the launch!

 

THAT CAR MUST HAVE BEEN FASTER THAN HELL

 

STi will hit 0-60 in less than 5 seconds if tuned properly, 0-30 is about 1.2 seconds stock +/-

think carrier launch...

 

what are you thinking of when you say 'some mods'? i knew a guy that was running a larger turbo on his STI an was running low 12s in the 1/4 with a good launch they get into the 13s quite easily in stock form... whereas a non-turbo Z

 

I guess I was thinking 'Turbo Z' vs the Turbo AWD anything. Ya, a non-turbo Z? haha!

I understand that with a new turbo and enough boost most any car can get into the 12's. So really its impossible to answer the question I asked about what they can do with some mods. It should take more boost to push any 4-cyl than it would to push a 6-cyl the same speed. Also, the AWD car should weigh more than a turbo Z.
